Device made safe in Clondalkin

The incident was the third callout for Defence Forces Bomb Disposal Teams in 24 hours.

AN ARMY BOMB Disposal Team has made safe an Improvised Explosive Device uncovered in Dublin overnight.

The Defence Forces deployed a team to Greenfort Park, Clondalkin, in response to a request by the gardaí last night. The team arrived on the scene at approximately 0.25am and made the device safe by means of an controlled explosion.

The scene was declared safe at 3.15am.

The incident was the third callout for Defence Forces Bomb Disposal Teams in 24 hours.
