As many as 1 in 8 people who have gone online for advice have diagnosed themselves incorrectly.

WITH THE STEEP cost of a visit to the doctor and the ease of accessing information online, many are staying away from their GP’s office and turning to the internet instead.

A new RTÉ series is looking to find these ‘cybercondriacs’, and using pop-up clinics to diagnose exactly what’s wrong with them.

Many Irish people who research their symptoms online are diagnosing themselves incorrectly, the show’s creators said.
