Man in his 30s appears in court over dissident Republican activity

A second man remains in custody.

A MAN IN his 30s is appearing before the Special Criminal Court this evening, charged in connection with the activities of dissident Republicans.

He is one of two men arrested yesterday. The second man, also aged in his 30s, remains in custody.

The men were arrested after houses were searched in Meath and west Dublin.

The operation was led by members of the Special Detective and Emergency Response units. The investigation is ongoing.
