Famous DJ being sued over claims he broke woman's neck while stage-diving

The DJ said, “I would never want anyone to get hurt at any of my shows”.

A WOMAN IS suing a famous DJ over claims that a stage dive by the star broke her neck.

Steve Aoki is an internationally recognized Electronic Dance Music Star, with a Billboard Music Award and Grammy nomination.

He’s known for his wild stunts and at this concert in 2012, he threw a pool raft on top of his fans and climbed up scaffolding to jump from a make-shift stage.

Brittany Hickman told ABC news, ”I was trapped underneath the pool raft because they threw it out right where I was standing.

My friends told me he landed on top of the pool raft, hit me on top of the head and I got knocked over. I was lying on the ground for a moment and I didn’t get up.

“I came to when one of the people working for the Hard Rock was wrapping my ankle.” Hickman is suing both the DJ and the Hard Rock Café in San Diego.

Steve Aoki has issued a statement through his lawyer, saying:

I would never want anyone to get hurt at any of my shows and feel badly that someone has.

“At this time I have been advised by my attorneys to not speak about this as it’s going to trial. Thank you for your understanding.”

Brittany says her injuries left her unable to work for two months and that she still suffers from pain down her arms, numbness and migraines.

The lawsuit has been filed against Aoki and the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, and the trial is scheduled for 28 August.
