Poll: Do you charge your phone by your bed overnight?

Dublin Fire Brigade was called to a house after a charger went up in flames.

A PHONE CHARGER went up in flames in a Dublin house yesterday after it overheated.

Dublin Fire Brigade said it’s fine to charge the phone overnight once it is on a bedside table, but don’t leave it near textiles. This is because the device creates heat.

However, some phone apps (such as sleep monitoring apps) require users to keep their phone charging and next to their pillow.

What about you: Do you charge your phone by your bed overnight?

Poll Results:

Yes - next to the bed (11019)
Yes - on the bed (2253)
No (1884)
Sometimes (987)
