Sniffer dogs search Leinster House, Ming Flanagan breathes a sigh of relief

Apparently he got out just in time.

Updated 11.24pm

EARLIER TODAY, TWO members of the Garda Dog Unit paid a visit to Leinster House.

They were there, TheJournal.ie was told, to carry out a sweep of the houses of parliament before TDs and senators arrived for the new term today.

Bruno and Tucker found nothing to write home, or to the Phoenix Park, about, but one former parliamentarian was happy he wasn’t around.

Former TD turned MEP Luke Ming Flanagan tweeted to us that he’d ‘gotten out in the nick of time’.

We’re sure he was being tongue in cheek. Right?
