A lot of people are getting ready to kick up a fuss when this man touches down later this month

“Citizen Trump holds no elected office in the United States. To extend diplomatic courtesies would be not only unnecessary but also inappropriate.”

DONALD TRUMP HAS announced his plans to visit Ireland later this month.

Rather than the buzz and excitement that might surround a future US president touching down on these shores, many are already announcing protests against the presumptive Republican nominee.

In the past Trump has called Mexican people that enter the United States rapists, proposed an all out ban on Muslims entering the country and advocated killing family members of terrorists – something considered to be a war crime.

He is set to visit Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, Co Clare as part of the trip.

Speaking on RTÉ’s Today with Sean O’Rourke programme, People Before Profit-Anti-Austerity Alliance TD Richard Boyd-Barrett confirmed that his party is already planning protests, and hit out at the “disgraceful rolling out of the red carpet” the last time Trump visited Ireland in 2014.

“He’s not a joke”, Boyd-Barrett said.

He’s a dangerous and vile racist, and warmonger, and sexist. And we need to show absolute opposition to everything he stands for. There should be no official reception for him.

This was a position supported by Fianna Fáil’s Daragh O’Brien, the party’s spokesperson on Foreign Affairs.

Speaking on the same programme he said: “I don’t think the government should be involved at all, frankly Sean. Some of his comments have been absolutely outrageous, and frankly have been racist.”

The Green Party is also set to oppose the visit, with its leader Eamon Ryan calling for a “peaceful, purposeful protest to show the world that Ireland rejects to divisive views espoused by Trump.”

24/3/2016. Talks To Form A New Government Green Party leader Eamon Ryan Leah Farrell / RollingNews.ie Leah Farrell / RollingNews.ie / RollingNews.ie

Labour Senator Aodhan Ó Ríordain has said that he believes the Republican presidential candidate “shout not receive any official welcome, even of the most cursory nature”.

Citizen Trump holds no elected office in the United States. To extend diplomatic courtesies would be not only unnecessary but also inappropriate.
We believe that Donald Trump has advocated policies that, if he were elected, would make his country a serious threat to international peace and security. That concerns us all and we are entitled to make it known.

Despite concerns about the reception Trump is set to receive, the billionaire property tycoon isn’t without his supporters.

Fine Gael TD for Clare Pat Breen said that it was “a matter for the Taoiseach” as to whether or not he would meet with Trump, and that he had been a “big investor in west Clare”.

This is a view shared by Mayor of Clare, independent Councillor James Breen.

Speaking on RTÉ’s News at One, he said: “Anyone who brings investment into Co Clare or into Ireland has to be welcomed. We are welcoming Donald Trump as a businessman, not as a politician.”

Donald Trump is coming to visit the property that is managed by his son in Doonbeg, and as such I see nothing wrong about that.

Absolutely. Watch the libtards PC political cowards in Ireland fall over themselves to court the support of the lefties in Ireland. Comical. I actually do find it hilarious.

That said, I really do hope Sanders wins California and pips Clinton to the nomination, as may happen. Google it today to find numerous US publications, incuding ones that support Clinton. are openly talking about the serious prospect of Sanders taking the nomination. Superdelegates can withdraw their support. This ain;t over yet.

I’d take Sanders over Clinton or Trump. I’d take Trump over Clinton. That’s saying something.

Love Barrets calls Trump a sexist (never heard of Bill Clinton then?) and a warmonger (when Hilary was the biggest hawk going). In fact, she today has a speech in which she says Trump couldn;t be trusted with nuclear codes. Ironically, she couldn’t be trusted with fcuking state security emails ffs.

And her husband launched a proxy war to distract from the attention he was getting during Lewinksygate. Yet she should be trusted with codes?

Because no-one actually advocates that as a policy. You are inflating the noisy crying of a disparate and unorganised few as some sort of dedicated campaign against free speech, which simply doesn’t exist.

Why not do what any sensible person does in this situation, either challenge them on their ideas (not hard, they are terrible) or just ignore them when their crying is unreasonable attention seeking, similar to how one sleep trains a baby.

Ultimately people are allowed to have stupid views, even the idea that other people must not express theirs. Freedom of Speech is a double edged sword in that respect and so there’s no point in you crying too, people might confuse you with someone from the other side….

He’s still the likely presidential nominee. I’d prefer he was treated with respect befitting that. Why potentially piss off countess Americans for a goon like Trump? He should be treated no differently to any other US candidate that would come here.

At the end of the day. Trump is more liberal than any of them. He’s on the republican ticket, but he shares little or none of their conservative values. He couldn’t care less about abortion, or LGBT rights (which he supported despite the republican backlash), He’s not and never was socially conservative. Nor does he claim to be an angel.

The US has big problems ahead with 3 million kids turning 18 a month and only 200k jobs being created per month.

What I find most surprising in all of this to date, is that according to numerous polls the US public still trusts Clinton more with the economy than Trump, and that’s down to having Bill by her side and suggesting he’ll run the economy if she’s elected.

Trump really has to push the self-employed, entrepreneurial image, rather than flashing the cash (even though he’s not a self-made man).

I will listen to those who are calling for the law to be enforced, as Trump has. Anyone have a problem with stopping illegal activity such as illegal migration from Mexico? Last time i checked, breaking the law was a bad thing. If those muppets had their way this country would be flooded with migrants on a scale similar to continental Europe. Imagine if we had to take 50,000 (which is the level Sweden and Austria have taken) and provide them with free accommodation and cash payments?

Cead Mile Failte Donald Trump, You are very Welcome to Ireland . You are what the western world needs a strong leader who can battle against the leftard liberal tide that is drowning us all! PBP are dangerous far left fascists , they represent less than 2% of Ireland and RBB needs to keep his mouth shut , Gaydon is a sacked politician and should also keeps his nose out of national affairs. I will go along to Shannon to welcome you and so should many others.

If we look beyond the hysteria, and Trump does win, it won’t do us any harm that he has investments here. He’s hardly likely to do anything that hurts our economy when his Doonbeg resort is dependent on Irish people on decent incomes. Perhaps our politicians should be employing their excellent sycophantic skills to keep him onside. We can THINK he’s a kant but maybe not say it to his face. After all, we’ve tolerated nut jobs from Saudi, Iraq etc for years. Not to mention The Bushes, Thatcher and Reagan. Where there’s nuts there’s brass.
