A PHOTOGRAPHER HAS died after falling into the water near Fanad Lighthouse.

The man, believed to be in his 60s slipped from a rock to the west of Fanad Lighthouse this afternoon, being carried into a gulley.

Two boats of the Irish Coast Guard were dispatched from Lough Swilly, but due to gale force winds, neither was able to get to the man.
