Man dies after being shot eight times in Blanchardstown double shooting

Another man was injured in the incident.

A MAN HAS died following a double shooting in Blanchardstown, Dublin this evening.

A man in his 30s, believed to have been shot eight times including once in the head, and was rushed to Connolly Memorial Hospital where he later died.

His body will be removed to the City Morgue for a post mortem.

The other man is believed to have been shot in the hand. He remains in hospital.

The incident happened at a church on Shelerin Road.

Gardaí are currently at the scene, which has been preserved for a forensic examination.
