Downpatrick homes evacuated after discovery of suspicious object

PSNI OFFICERS have evacuated a number of homes in Downpatrick, Co Down, after the discovery of a suspicious object in the Drumnaconagher Road area. The road has been closed and diversions are in place at the junction of Crossgar Road and Drumnaconagher Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
