THE PSNI HAVE released a photo of a man they are hoping to identify to help them with their inquiries into an alleged serious sexual assault in Downpatrick, Co Down four weeks ago.

“We wish to identify and locate the man in this photograph as he may have vital information that could assist us with inquiries into an alleged assault in Downpatrick on May 10,” said Detective Inspector Adrian Brown of the PSNI’s Public Protection Unit.

The alleged victim of the attack, a woman in her early twenties, was accosted by her assailant in a house on Scotch Street in the town after a night out.
