Driver four times over legal limit crashes onto roundabout

Separately, a car became wedged between a wall and a basement after a collision in Limerick city last night.

GARDAÍ ARRESTED A driver who was four times over the legal alcohol limit last weekend.

The person drove onto the Michael D O’Shea Roundabout in Killarney, Co Kerry.

Gardaí have shared an image of the incident on social media as a warning to other motorists.

Separately, gardaí have published photos of an accident in Limerick city in which a woman’s car became wedged between a wall and a basement after it collided with another car at around 7.45pm yesterday.

It’s understood passers-by helped the woman out of the car. The woman and the passengers of the other car were taken to University Hospital Limerick with minor injuries.

A section of the road was temporarily closed while the collision was cleared. Gardaí are investigating the cause of the incident.
