Driver killed in Co Cavan crash

The articulated lorry left the road at Drummora, Crossdoney at around 9.20am this morning and struck a ditch.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING to witnesses to a single vehicle crash in Drummora, Co Cavan in which one man was killed.

The man, aged in his 30s, was driving an articulated lorry when it left the R199 Crossdoney to Killeshandra road at around 9.20am today and struck a ditch.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road has been closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information about the crash to contact them at Cavan Garda Station on 049 4368800 or on the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
