Drivers warned of 'extremely dangerous' conditions nationwide

Temperatures are expected to remain below zero overnight so take care and bundle up.

AA ROADWATCH IS warning drivers that “extreme caution” is required on roads across the country tonight as temperatures in some places drop below zero.

Temperatures are not expected to rise overnight and AA said “icy roads are countrywide”.

There was snow in certain areas earlier today and Met Éireann warned temperatures could reach -1.

Tomorrow ‘extremely windy or stormy weather’ will greet us all with some severe winds developing. There will be very heavy rain early on and there is a chance of spot flooding. The freezing temperatures are also expected to return tomorrow night.
