Woman charged over stabbing at Drogheda housing estate

A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after gardaí were called to the Lia Bhrega estate at around 3am on Christmas Day.

A 26-YEAR-OLD woman is due to appear before court in Drogheda in January, after being charged in connection with the stabbing of a man at a housing estate in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Gardaí were called to the Lia Bhrega estate at around 3am.

A man, aged 40, was taken for treatment to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

He was discharged a short time later.

The woman was taken into custody, and released later yesterday.

She’s set to appear before Drogheda District Court on 9 January.
