Man in court over Drogheda schoolboy stabbing

The 21-year-old is to be charged in connection with the incident tomorrow.

A 21-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court tomorrow morning, charged in connection with the stabbing of a schoolboy in Louth.

The incident occurred as the 16-year-old was walking home from school in Drogheda yesterday afternoon. The victim was with friends at the time and it is understood the attack was entirely unprovoked.

The schoolboy remains at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. His condition is described as stable.

The suspect will appear before Drogheda District Court tomorrow.
