Two arrested after drugs hidden in lining of suitcase found in morning raid

The men were taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station.

TWO MEN WERE arrested after drugs were discovered during the search of a house in Clonsilla yesterday morning.

Over 8 kilos of herbal cannabis worth over €160,000 were seized. The drugs – which were concealed in the lining of a suitcase – originated in Nigeria.

The men aged 22 and 37 were arrested at the scene at Lohunda Downs and were taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station.

They have since been released without charge and files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí say these operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks.
