Three men due in court after shotgun and drugs found in Longford house

Gardaí say the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation.

THREE MEN WHO were arrested after drugs, a shotgun and ammunition were found in two houses in Longford on Monday afternoon are now due in court.

A man in his early 30s was arrested after a shotgun and ammunition were recovered by gardai searching a house in Ballymahon.

Two other men were arrested after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €30,000 and cultivation equipment was found in a second house in the same area.

Longford

The men, aged in their late 20s and mid 30s, were arrested at the scene.

They have now been charged and are expected to appear before a sitting of Sligo District Court this afternoon.

Gardaí say the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation targeting criminal activity in Co. Longford.
