Man, 20s, arrested as Gardaí and Revenue seize €6.8 million worth of cannabis in Dublin

The seizure was part of a joint operation between Gardaí and Revenue.

ONE MAN HAS been arrested during a drug seizure by Gardaí in Dublin yesterday afternoon.

The drugs were seized during a joint operation by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue’s Customs Service.

Over 343kg of cannabis herb was seized by Revenue officers with an estimated total value of €6,860,000.

A man in his late 20s, was arrested and is currently being held at a Garda Station in Dublin under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
