Two men arrested after drugs destined for Galway rag week seized

The drugs have an estimated street value of €50,000.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after drugs believed to be destined for the Galway “rag week” market were seized by gardaí.

The men in their early 20s were arrested after herbal cannabis and approximately 4,000 ecstasy tablets were discovered during a search today.

The drugs have an estimated street value of €50,000.

The two men are being held at Galway Garda Station.

The search was part of ongoing joint investigations targeting drug trafficking in the Galway area.

A joint intelligence led operation was conducted by Revenue’s Customs Drugs Law Enforcement and the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau supported by officers from the Galway Regional Drugs Unit.
