Gardaí seize €100,000 worth of heroin in Cork

Gardaí also seized cannabis, drug paraphernalia and mobile phones as part of the search.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED heroin worth an estimated €100,000 during a search of a house in Cork city this afternoon.

The raid was carried out as part of an operation targeting drug dealers in the city.

Gardaí – assisted by the Garda Dog Unit – found the drugs in the house on Model Farm Road at around 4.30pm today.

Cannabis herb and resin worth an estimated €4,000 was also discovered during the search, as well as drug paraphernalia and mobile phones.

A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene. He is currently being held at Mayfield Garda Station in connection with the find.
