Man in court after cocaine seized at Heuston Station

Gardaí discovered the man had drugs worth an estimated €140,000 at Heuston.

A MAN IN his 50s will appear in court this evening after he was found to be carrying a large quantity of cocaine at Heuston Station in Dublin.

Gardaí from the National Drugs Unit stopped the man at the station on Monday evening as part of a planned operation and discovered drugs worth an estimated €140,000.

In a follow up search in Limerick after the initial discovery, cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of up to €70,000 were discovered.

The man has been detained at Kevin Street Garda station ahead of his appearance at the Criminal Courts of Justice this evening.
