Limerick seizure

Cannabis herb, cocaine, benzodiazepines and alprazolam (types of sedatives or ‘downers’) with a combined estimated street value of €126,000, were seized following the planned search of a premises at Brooksbridge, Pallasgreen yesterday afternoon by local gardaí and the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit.

Two firearms, ammunition and a firearm component were also recovered.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

The ultimate aim of drug seizures, according to gardaí, is to help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality through intelligence and crime-based trends.
