Gardaí seize heroin and cocaine worth €2m from 'sophisticated' factory

In a major operation in Kildare, two men were arrested after Gardaí seized cocaine and heroin from a house in Johnstownbridge.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED heroin and cocaine worth an estimated €2 million as part of major operation in Kildare targeting the sale and supply of illegal drugs.

Detectives from the National Drug Unit found what is being described as a sophisticated ‘mixing factory’ for cocaine and heroin when they searched a house in Johnstownbridge in Kildare on Saturday afternoon as part of the intelligence-led operation.

Mixing agents were also seized at the house.

Two men – one aged 40 and the other aged 53 – were arrested at the scene. Both men are currently being held at Leixlip Garda Station.
