Price comparison: What are my options around Dublin on a €500k budget?

From a terraced period property in Dublin 4 to a detached redbrick in Dublin 9.

EVERY WEEK, WE cherry pick a number of homes that are all within a similar price range, to give you an idea of the property landscape at the moment.

This week, we’re looking at properties in Co Dublin for under €500,000 – including a terraced period property in Ringsend, Dublin 4 and a detached redbrick in Whitehall, Dublin 9.

Three-bed semi-detached, Swords: €439,000

Under 30 minutes from Dublin city centre is No 117 Sandford Wood, a family home that sits on a south facing site and has a large back garden. The interior is roomy and well connected, flowing from the hallway that leads to the lounge and its double doors to the open plan kitchen and dining room. The first floor is home to three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. The family bathroom is also on this floor. 

The front of the house has a low maintenance driveway for off-street parking, which is handy seeing as you may use the car less. The house is well connected with bus links and there are so many amenities close by including plenty of shops, schools and sports clubs. Dublin Airport is also just a short drive away.

The Liberties is Dublin 8 is a popular location for people in all walks of life, from young professionals to retirees who love being in the heart of Dublin city. This terraced house on at 24 Reginald Street is clearly a quintessential Liberties home with its redbrick facade and interior layout. The front porch leads you straight into an open plan living and dining room. A shaker-style kitchen sits at the back of the house along with a full bathroom with both a bath and a shower.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, the largest spans the width of the property. The second has a Stira that leads to the attic.
