VR tour: Step inside a futuristic new home in bustling Rathmines

Homes at Maxwell Square have solar panelling, convection heating and plenty of other eco-friendly features.

If you have Google Cardboard or another VR headset, you can enjoy a full 3D experience by tapping the ‘goggles’ icon.

MAXWELL SQUARE IS A small development of just 14 houses, giving it an air of seclusion that’s often missing in larger new estates.

Located in bustling Rathmines, under 20 minutes to Dublin city centre on foot, buyers at Maxwell Square will be at the heart of the action.

It’s not just the unique external design that gives the properties a futuristic air. The terraced homes here were all built with green living in mind.

Solar heating is utilised throughout the 124 sq m units, plus there are condensing gas boilers, convection radiators and Carlson Scandinavian double-glazed timber-framed windows, with aluminium cladding.

Built back in 2015 by a team of award-winning architects, the three-storey homes have three bedrooms apiece.

All bedrooms are sizeable – and the main bedroom of each has access to its own en-suite bathroom.

The two living areas in each unit are spacious and well lit, with one at ground level and one above.

Recessed lighting adds style and modernity to the rooms, and they’re painted in neutral colours, ready to be re-decorated to fit the new owner’s style if desired.

There’s a casual dining and food preparation space thanks to a kitchen island with an integrated sink, and the more formal dining table provides plenty of room for a family to eat together.
