Dublin airport suspends all flights until lunchtime

THE DUBLIN AIRPORT Authority has suspended all flights to and from Dublin airport. The authority says that “persistent heavy snowfalls” over the past hour have resulted in “severe contamination of the main runway”. It means that the braking action of planes is not safe to use on the runways. The airport is estimated to re-open at 1.30pm today but it is best to consult with airlines before heading to the airport.
