Motorcyclist seriously injured in early morning Dublin crash

The road was closed this morning following the crash.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses after a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in an early morning crash.

The incident occurred on Con Colbert Road near Sarsfield Road in Ballyfermot at around 3.45am this morning.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The driver, a man in his 30s, is currently being treated at St James’s Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

Con Colbert Road outbound is currently closed between its junction with the Chapelizod bypass and Sarsfield Road, while a garda forensic team examines the scene.

People are being advised to use alternate routes.

Gardaí have urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information in relation to it to call them at Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400.
