Gardaí seize €100k worth of heroin in Dublin raids

Two homes in the Dublin 1 area were searched, and two people were arrested.

HEROIN WORTH AN estimated street value of €100,000 has been seized by gardaí during raids yesterday in the Dublin 1 area.

A team from the North Central Divisional Drug Unit carried out a planned search at a house in the north inner city area yesterday morning.

During the search, heroin worth an estimated €30,000 was discovered, and a man in his 40s was arrested.

In a follow-up search of a flat, also in Dublin 1, heroin worth an estimated €70,000 was seized by gardaí.

A woman in her 30s was arrested, and a number of mobile phones, cash and drug paraphernalia was also seized.

The man and woman are currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Store Street Garda Station.
