This Dublin restaurant was voted the best in the country - here's what the grub looks like

Looks delish.

LAST NIGHT, THE All-Ireland Irish Restaurant Awards took place in Dublin – and they gave out a rake of awards for the best grub around the country.

Top of the pile and coming away with the award for the best restaurant in the country was Luna in Dublin.

“Inspired by Italian restaurants of 1950′s America”, Luna is situated underneath Super Miss Sue on Dublin’s Drury Street

And it’s well known for its gorgeous food

Luna has actually been open for less than a year, but it’s already won enough praise to be considered for the prestigious award last night.

It’s been known to serve up a mean steak

The food ranges from the perfectly presented

To steaks that you just want to devour right away

There were over 70,000 nominations cast for the awards from around the country – but only one place could come out on top

The other restaurants that won in their respective provinces were:

  • Connacht – Loam, Galway
  • Leinster – The Pigeon House, Wicklow
  • Munster – 1826 Adare, Limerick
  • Ulster – Browns Restaurant & Champagne Lounge, Derry

Luna won out nationally and in Dublin – and you can see why

A place where everything looks delectable

And sure you know if it’s all booked out, you can get some of the best fish and chips in the city upstairs in SMS

Not a bad compromise.
