Gardaí are looking for information on these 'quack addicts' they have in custody

Gardai really LOVE posting photos of cute animals.

THE GARDAÍ ARE big fans of posting photos of very cute animals on their Twitter and Facebook pages.

It’s usually photogenic lost pets – with puppies being the firm favourite.

However, things are getting mixed up this week with photos of ducklings appearing on the Garda twitter account.

It even went one step further with the Tweet asking for caption suggestions.

Some of the favourite responses were then posted on the Garda Síochána Facebook account, such as:

Finglas Gardai currently have some “quack addicts” in custody!
Quack house busted in Finglas!
They’re always ‘ducking and diving’ to avoid the law!
Make sure they don’t DUCK any questions.
You are really quacking down on crime! I’d say yous had them in a flap.
The Gardaí have quacked the case and apprehended a notorious band of robber duckies.
