Dustin as "excited as a turkey on St Stephen's Day" to be co-hosting TV3's Toy Show this year

Co-hosted by Lucy Kennedy, the show will air on the same night as The Late Late Toy Show.

DUSTIN THE TURKEY is back on a toy show.

He is set to appear alongside Lucy Kennedy for TV3′s “Toy Show Teaser” set to air on Friday 2 December at 8pm, before the Late Late Toy Show is broadcast on RTÉ that same evening.

This will be the fourth year that TV3 will air a rival to RTE’s Late Late Toy Show.

In 2013, the show was hosted by Alan Hughes and, like the 2016 edition, it aired slightly earlier on the same night as the Late Late Toy Show.

In 2014 and 2015, however, TV3′s toy show was broadcast a week before RTÉ’s version.

Its highest ratings to date were for the 2014 show, watched by an average of 472,100 people, which was hosted by Brian McFadden and Karen Koster.

This year’s show will feature all the most popular toys for Christmas, while Lucy and Dustin will get a chance to speak to Santa himself.

Dustin the Turkey had this to say: “I’m excited as a turkey on St Stephen’s Day to be hosting the TV3 toy show with Lucy Kennedy. It’ll be the first time two good-looking birds have hosted it together.”

Kennedy added: “Surely after three years living with Podge and Rodge, I can take on a turkey.”

Whatever Dustin does, he’ll have to go a long way to top McFadden’s choice of outfit in 2014.
