ONE MAN HAS been arrested following a huge drugs seizure in Dublin.
The Revenue’s customs service seized 75kgs of cannabis resin, 25kgs of herbal cannabis and 2.3kgs of cocaine today at Dublin Port.
The drugs have a combined potential street value of approximately €1million.

The drugs were concealed in a refrigerated 40ft container, which arrived in Dublin Port from Germany via Holyhead this morning.
They were detected by a customs drug dog and both the truck and trailer were seized.
One male, a UK National in his 50, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently being held in Store Street Garda Station.
Gardaí said enquiries are ongoing both nationally and internationally.

Maybe it’s time for a mature debate on the drug laws. Maybe some kind of regulation and taxation? Also recognition that not everyone that takes drugs become brain dead zombies similar to how not everyone who drinks alcohol becomes an alcoholic.
