€2.4m worth of heroin seized in Kildare

Four men are arrested after Garda seize 12 kilos of heroin from a number of cars in Kill, Co Kildare.

FOUR MEN HAVE been arrested after Gardaí seized 12 kilograms of heroin, with a street value of around €2.4m, was seized in Co Kildare this afternoon.

The drugs were seized as part from a number of cars just off the Naas Road at Kill, Co Kildare, during searches by the Garda National Drugs Unit, assisted by local officers.

All four of the arrested men were taken to Clondalkin Garda Station where they are being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Three of the arrested men are aged in their 20s, while the fourth is aged 51.
