Eggcellent egg hunt for charity

One hundred eggs, painted by well-known celebrities and artists, will be placed around Dublin from the 12 February to 15 March.

IF YOU SPOT a number of colourful, giant eggs around Dublin, and are wondering what it’s all about, then wonder no more.

It’s all part of the Big Egg Hunt 2013, Ireland’s largest ever egg hunt.

One hundred uniquely crafted eggs, designed by artists and celebrities, will be placed in key locations around Dublin from the 12 February to 15 March.

While the eggs are out and about people can ‘scramble’ around and hunt for them to be in with a chance of winning prizes.

Some of the artists that got their hands on an egg include Diarmuid Gavin, Gavin Friday, Joe Duffy, John Rocha and Nick Munier.

All of the eggs will be sold at the live auction on 23 March and online starting 12 March to raise money for Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.
