Eight arrested over Kildare, Dublin drugs seizures

The organised crime unit carried out operations in west Dublin and Celbridge, Co Kildare.

EIGHT PEOPLE have been arrested by gardaí who are part of an operation focused on activities of a north Dublin gang.

The organised crime unit was involved in searches on two cars in Celbridge, Co Kildare, yesterday, according to 98FM.

Four men, one aged 22 and the other three aged in their 40s, were arrested at the scene and 30kg of cannabis herb worth an estimated €360,000 was discovered.

RTE reports that two of the men are from Northern Ireland, while the others are from Cork and Meath.

Later, a garda search at an apartment in Adamstown, west Dublin, uncovered 25kg of cannabis herb worth an estimated 300k and €10,000 in cash.

Three men and a woman from eastern Europe were arrested at the scene.
