Elderly man missing after farmhouse fire

The alarm was raised at around 7:20 this morning.

EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE searching for an elderly man who is missing following a fire at a farmhouse in Co Down this morning.

The fire broke out at Ballynafern Road, Annaclone near Rathfriland at around 7:20 am.

Three fire engines were called to the scene when the alarm was raised.

Firefighting and search operations are still underway.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said fire appliances will need to remain at the scene for several hours.
