Elderly woman dies in Crumlin house fire

The woman was found yesterday morning at her house on the Drimnagh Road.

A WOMAN IN her 80s has died following a house fire in Crumlin, south Dublin yesterday.

The woman was found at the front door of her house by emergency services who arrived at the home on the Drimnagh Road at around 7.20am.

The 88-year-old woman was rushed to St James’s Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. A post mortem will be carried out today but it is believed the woman died from smoke inhalation.

Gardaí are investigating but say they do not consider the incident to be suspicious.
