Elderly woman knocked down in Dublin car robbery

It happened on Mountjoy Street yesterday afternoon.

AN ELDERLY WOMAN was knocked down during a car robbery in Dublin city yesterday afternoon.

It happened on Mountjoy Street at around 4pm as a group of youths were attempting to steal a car.

The woman was taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment where her injuries were described as non-life threatening.

No arrests have been made but the car involved in the incident was later found at Hardwick flats.

Gardaí say an investigation is ongoing and have asked that anyone with information regarding the incident contact them at Bridewell on 01 6668200, or on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111.
