Biography

The deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin City Council, he was first elected in 2009 and retained his seat in the 2014 local elections. A community activist in his local area, he has ran unsuccessfully for the Dáil on two occasions and is a prominent anti-austerity campaigner. He is a chief technical officer at Trinity College Dublin.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

As a political activist for 20 years I have supported the communities of Dublin Central in their fight for equality and against disadvantage.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Housing is undoubtedly the biggest issue in both my constituency and the city as a whole.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Join with other elected progressives to ensure that the housing crisis is seriously addressed. The political will is currently lacking.
