Cleary unsuccessfully contested the May 2019 local elections for Waterford City South.

Question time
Why should someone vote for you?

I am a GP in the city and feel I know some of the concerns that people have in Waterford city and county. I am committed to bringing investment to Waterford; in particular ensuring that the rural part of the constituency is no longer left behind.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

To bring 24/7 cardiac care to University Hospital Waterford. This is long overdue.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

I would like to prioritise WIT reaching university status and the re-opening of Waterford Airport to a major carrier... I would also continue to advocate for the right to life of the unborn child.
