Biography

Smith was first elected to the Dáil in 1992 and has been re-elected at every general election since. He has previously served as Minister for Agriculture, Justice and Children respectively, and minister of state at the Department of Agriculture. Prior to his election as TD, he was special advisor to former Tánaiste John Wilson.
