Biography

O'Rourke was first elected to the Dáil in 2016. He is the Fianna Fáil junior spokesperson on financial services, egovernment and procurement. He was co-opted onto Kildare County Council in 2011 and retained his seat in the 2014 local elections. He previously worked in business for over 20 years.

Why should someone vote for you?

I have a proven track record on local and national issues and will continue to deliver on projects for Kildare North.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Increasing the availability and affordability of housing.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Re-introduce my bill on Housing (Homeless Housing Assistance Payment), the purpose of which is to amend HAP so it is accessible earlier, thereby avoiding families being made homeless.
