Biography

Collins was first elected to Limerick City and County Council in 2009. He retained his seat in the 2014 and 2019 local elections. He is a former Mayor of Limerick and is the director of Limerick 2030. He has a degree in economics and finance and a Masters in management. He is a former management consultant.

Why should someone vote for you?

As a businessman, publican, local representative and community activist, I have a track record of helping to create jobs in Limerick by delivering on policies to make Limerick the economic driver of the Mid-West.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Getting better healthcare, housing and transport services for the people of Limerick.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Increase the Fair Deal and Home Care budgets to free up hospital beds occupied due to delayed discharge of elderly patients among other measures to help ease the overcrowding crisis at University Hospital Limerick.
