Biography

Kavanagh is a first-time candidate and a retired teacher. She is the convenor to the Alliance of Birthmothers Campaigning for Justice. She is secretary of the stop CETA alliance in Ireland.

Question time
Why should someone vote for you?

I'm very concerned about the direction our country is heading in. Kids now will be the first generation who will rent all their lives, paying high rents and live through the effects of climate change.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

To call for government policy that will create investment in rural Ireland and save the small family farm.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

For the Right to Housing Bill rejected by the last Dáil to be reintroduced to allow people to remain in their homes and not be evicted.
