Biography

Cronin is the deputy leader of the Party for Animal Welfare. The party was set up last year and aims to "create a better world for animals in Ireland".

Question time
Why should someone vote for you?

I am the first candidate in Ireland campaigning to give animals a voice and end animal cruelty.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Do my utmost to end hare coursing and stop a protected grey seal cull on the Blasket Islands.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

The majority of people want the government to stop funding the greyhound industry. I would try to put it to the public in a referendum and also include a question about banning hare coursing and fox hunting.
