Biography

Coveney was first elected as a TD in 1998. He has been re-elected at every general election since. He was appointed as Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2017. He has previously served as Minister for Housing and Agriculture respectively. He was elected as an MEP in 2004. He was a member of Cork County Council from 1999 to 2003.
