Cosgrove has worked as a Youth Liaison Worker with the Sligo-Leitrim Home Youth Liaison Service for the past 15 years. She unsuccessfully contested the local elections in May 2019. She She has a Masters degree in social science. She has worked for more than 20 years in the voluntary and community sector.

Why should someone vote for you?
I am a hardworking, committed and honest person who will fight for economic and social justice.
What is your number one priority for your constituency?
To attract sustainable jobs and investment across the north west, bringing about more balanced development across the country.
What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?
Introduce a nationwide rent freeze. Ban the importation of fracked gas. Reduce public transport costs. End the contracting out of services by the HSE and Tusla. Increase resources for SEN in post-primary schools.
