Biography

Fitzpatrick was first elected as a TD for Fine Gael in 2011. He was re-elected in 2016 and left Fine Gael in 2018. He is running as an Independent candidate. He is a former manager of the Louth Senior GAA football team. He is also a former GAA senior football player.

Why should someone vote for you?

Because I'm honest, I'm open and transparent. I have been a TD for the last nine years, working hard for the people of Louth.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

My number one priority is to get acute services back into Louth County Hospital.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

It's very important to get a government together to ensure Ireland gets the best possible deal for Brexit.
