Campaign trail at a glance: Parties to debate climate and environment policies

It’s Day Thirteen of the election campaign.

IT’S DAY THIRTEEN – will it be a lucky or unlucky one? Here’s the latest:

  • Seven parties are taking part in a debate on climate and the environment hosted by Dublin City University, Friends of the Earth and Stop Climate Chaos. It’ll be livestreamed from 9.30am.
  • Several Sinn Féin candidates, including party spokesperson on disability and carers Louise O’Reilly, will be setting out the party’s proposals around disability supports in Dublin at 10am.
  • Labour TD for Tipperary Alan Kelly and other Labour candidates are launching the party’s crime and garda recruitment policy in Dublin at 10.45am.
  • People Before Profit leader Richard Boyd Barrett and other PBP candidates will be speaking to media in Dublin at 11am about their manifesto commitments on solidarity with Palestine.
  • Green Party leader Roderic O’Gorman will be in Blanchardstown at 11.30am alongside candidate Karla Doran to discuss childcare.
  • Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin along with Minister of State for Disability Anne Rabbitte are launching its plan for disability supports at 11.30am in Dublin.
